What are the standards that deem perfection or imperfection? How may our perspectives be realistic if defined in “black and white”, mere right or wrong? Why are these definitions known separately; one or the other?
To see realistically is to know that nothing can be accurately defined in “black and white” terms. It is how we deviate from these ideas of normality that create value; it is within the thousands of shades of grey along the scale that create depth. Only when they are seen can we understand and witness those around us, ourselves, beauty, and what colors the world. We don’t need perfection or imperfection, right or wrong; “black or white”, just as only grey exists in this artwork: no black nor white. We need to be seen as whole and in our entirety. Look closer.
